June, 2016 - Masonry Institute Emerging Professional Winners

The WORKSHOP would like to congratulate Daley Smith on winning 1st place, and Ellis Taylor on winning 2nd place in the Masonry Institute of Tennessee Emerging Professional Award Graphic Design Competition. Daley and Ellis each designed awards that embodied the spirit of masonry design and construction. The first place design will be framed and distributed at the Award Ceremony at the AIA Tennessee's Annual Convention. Congratulations to you both!

The Journal of the American Institute for Architects recently created a post on their website detailing the winners of the 2015 AIA Tennessee Design Awards. The WORKSHOP received honors, alongside the other award recipients, for their work with the Lankford Hardware Conversion, and the Eastside Church of Christ projects.

2015 Design Award Winners Announced!

The WORKSHOP earned 2 of the 10 awards given as part of the annual AIA Tennessee Design Awards Program. This program honors built works of distinction designed by AIA Tennessee members.  Eastside Church of Christ and Lankford Hardware Conversion project were awarded Merit awards. The jury recognized 10 projects out of the 73 submitted for consideration.

Additionally, our staff member Ellis Taylor’s was this year’s winner of the Masonry Institute of Tennessee Emerging Professional Award.  The Emerging Professional Award is a showcase for emerging professionals to display graphic concepts and be a part of the Excellence in Masonry competition. The winning artwork is then framed and given out as prizes for the Excellence in Masonry Competition.
